A Local Perspective

One of the things I've always loved about Mission Beach is that it truly feels like you're on vacation every day.

Whether you're walking along the oceanfront boardwalk, paddleboarding on Mission Bay, watching the sunset over the Pacific, or simply riding your bike along the waterfront, there's an energy here that's unlike anywhere else in San Diego.

My family and I have always enjoyed spending time in Mission Beach, and over the years I've had the opportunity to sell many homes throughout the community. I genuinely enjoy helping clients buy and sell here because every property offers its own unique version of the beach lifestyle.

One of the things that makes Mission Beach so special is that you really have two completely different waterfront experiences. On the ocean side, you'll find wide sandy beaches, excellent surfing, beach volleyball, and spectacular sunsets. On the bay side, the pace is a little more relaxed, with calm waters perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing, and evening walks along the shoreline.

As someone who loves both surfing and sailing, I appreciate having the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay just a short walk apart. It's one of the few places in California where you can surf in the morning, sail or paddleboard in the afternoon, and finish the day watching the sun disappear into the Pacific.

After more than 27 years helping buyers and sellers throughout San Diego County, Mission Beach remains one of my favorite places to show homes. There are beautiful contemporary residences, classic beach cottages, luxury oceanfront properties, and stunning bayfront homes—all within a community that offers one of the most unique lifestyles in Southern California.

Whenever I'm in Mission Beach, I'm reminded why so many people dream of living here. It's not just the homes or the location—it's the feeling that every day begins and ends at the water.
