Cardiff has always been one of my favorite places in North County.
I surf Cardiff Reef and Seaside Reef regularly, and there's something special about starting the day in the water before heading to the office. After a surf session, it's hard to beat grabbing breakfast nearby or stopping by Seaside Market—a true Cardiff institution that's famous throughout San Diego County for its legendary Cardiff Crack tri-tip.
My family and I also spend a lot of time in Cardiff with our three dogs—Josie, our Golden Retriever, Pixie, our Cavapoo, and Brixton, our Bernedoodle. Whether we're walking the Coastal Rail Trail or visiting the Maggie Houlihan Memorial Dog Park, we've experienced firsthand why Cardiff is considered one of the most welcoming and dog-friendly communities in North County.
